Is Wesley's career over?

2.1 PPG over his last 16 games. National embarrassment from the Harden crossover. He is a total non-factor in games.

was just talking bout him in game thread. 21% FG last ten. He's decent enough on D, but a real liability now on offense. His handles and bb iq decision making have never been very good either. He sets up as a kick & shoot perimeter guy, but can't hit the side of a barn door. And it seems like lately he rushes his shots instead of working within the feel & flow of the game. It's like "oh, the ball is in my hands I better shoot asap early in the shot clock!". Relax man, take a breath and launch. Or better yet, try a pump fake and drive to the hole for once. Don't think I've ever seen him even try that...nor does he ever back a player down, which Wes should be able to do with his frame...handles are so bad he must not trust trying it. He's just not a naturally instinctive, rythmic basketball player.

Don't think the Harden play really mattered. He was playing like crap even before that. Yes, so he's probably done soon unless he starts relaxing out there and draining shots.

Wes was such a confident offensive player in college. I get most NBA guys are, but it's hard to believe he went from that to a guy who looks lost on offense.

Lawler and Bowen overpraising the Wes 2-2 performance like they saw this thread title. It was an okay start to redemption, but he still had that boneheaded pass turnover. Clips win!

He's easily the worst player on the team. He might crack the rotation on the AC Clippers.

Did it ever get started?

Worst player on the team since he arrived. Team needs to figure out a way to get rid of him before next year to free up money and a roster spot.

Hate to sound like a broken record but what a completely stupid signing and completely MORONIC re-signing.

Among many, yes. However, the biggest question is whether Ballmer and Jerry West can make the tough decision and fire him. Doc is an ultimate snake oil salesman. I'm sure he has been cozying up to Jerry

Yeah true, he had some great defensive plays, like the 2 blocks when we beat the Rockets at home. And he had some crucial offensive impact in that road win in Atlanta (that win was loaded with significance for us as it gave us a much-needed boost and mental toughness confidence). I really hope Wes can regain his confidence ASAP!
