When an old man shows up with multiple cameras that are filming on the pitch during the game while also able to show crowd reaction shots which implies multiple takes for the same shot, I'm sure the "players" were completely surprised at the old man's skills.

Didn't Kyrie Irving do the same thing with his Uncle Drew character?

Yeah that was probably an Uncle Drew takeoff but there have been poeple pranking with old man outfits for years.

Prior to Chile’s win over Australia in their first World Cup fixture porn star Marlen Doll promised to undertake a 8 hour sex marathon with a selection of strangers. This proved such a roaring success that eight hour marathon actually lasted for 12 hours.

Doll

Not to be outdone Miss Doll has now promised to sleep with anyone who wishes to join the fun, for a 16 hour marathon if Chile manage to beat Spain tonight.

Jones with a goal from quite some distance.  3-point range for sure.

The Cannibal bites another opponent????  What the hell is wrong with this guy?  Has Suarez been channeling Mike Tyson?

A Norwegian football fan has won more than £500 after placing a £3 bet that Luis Suárez would bite someone at the World Cup.

Thomas Syverson, of Trondheim, placed a bet at 175/1 on online gambling website Betsson along with 166 other punters – one of whom scooped an even bigger win of almost £2,000.

They got placed in the easiest group.  They BARELY qualified for this world cup.  Netherlands are going to cream them tomorrow.

Oranje are favored by 1/2 to 1 goal over La Verde.  Should be a good game.

Mexican fans were praying to God to stop that penalty kick but it didn't work.

Hated to see that game deciding call on the Robben dive. The one at the end of the 1st half had more legitimacy for being called so it was a make up of sorts, but making that call in the 93rd minute is just too critical. It better be a no doubt take down and it wasn't, really feel for Mexico.

The play at the end wasn't a dive.  Marquez clearly steps on his foot as he's running which trips him.  Robben clearly embellished to get noticed, but that doesn't change he was physically taken out of the play.

Sneijder's goal was very nice. The best goal from the recent games though was volley by James Rodriguez.

Interesting, about how all of the scoring happened in the USA-Belgium game in extra time.

Interesting, about how prolific Germany was to start the game, in the SF.

Someone brought alfajores to work yesterday, from Whole Foods. However, I missed out on them.

She jokingly said they were only for people rooting for Team Argentina.

I called my Whole Foods, and they carry them. They said they carry chocolate, lemon meringue, caramel, and snicker doodle. They said one can buy them buy them pound.

I'm going to get some for tomorrow.

At first, I was a little worried about bringing a box to a public place for Sunday, thinking it would look bad. But if I'm only bringing a few, it should be ok, the establishment shouldn't mind.

I'm not rooting for anyone, just want to get into World Cup mode by getting something authentic for one of the teams.

Thoughts on the game?

I thought Argentina had a lot of chances up until partway though the 2nd half, then Germany's defense and dribbling took over.

Argentina should have taken Carlos Tevez, that would have helped a lot.  Higuain really goofed up today.  I was hoping Mueller would have scored a goal or two, but he didn't.  I would rather have Mueller than Messi to be honest.

Messi isn't comparable to Maradona, not even the Brazilian Ronaldo.  In fact, I shouldn't have to call Ronaldo the Brazilian Ronaldo, that makes me mad.

Germany I think had better fitness, Argentina was better the first half, they were about even second and Germany was much stronger in overtime.  Higuain's miss was really bad.

Good game. All I have to say is that I put some shovels and dirt away and I missed the only goal. Caught the replay seconds later. Some amazing athletes. Fuck you soccer and fuck you dirt.

Yes, lets get it goin'!

Man I thought France would be the Golded State Warriors of this sh*t but USA tied them on Saturday. We might have laid out the blueprint on how to beat them for other national teams.

No Netherlads. No Italy. No United States. No Canada. No Chile. And, not that they were ever favored to make it in, but I personally wish Ireland had made it.
