First 2-2 WS since 2003.  WOW, it's been a while.

“I tried,” Holland said. “He was like, ‘Nope, you ain’t going out there, son. You ain’t gonna come out there.’ I said, ‘C’mon, Wash, let me go. I’m gonna try to get a double play out of this. I’m going to do everything I can.’ ”

To which Washington replied that if Holland wanted to stay out there, he’d have to get on his knees and grovel.

“He walked off the mound,” Washington said.

He should have groveled.  We haven't had a CG yet in these playoffs!

Nice pic in the post, Rhy1244.

I demand a pitching duel.
i saw a 16 run blowout, now i want a 1 run extra innings nail biter.

The pitching has been pretty terrible thus far...

I think Jamie Garcia can live up to the pitching end in game 6.

Colby Lewis, he has to pitch like he did last year.  He hasn't been bad this year, but not good enough for me to hope that he will be in a pitchers' duel.

I don't know how to look this up, but has there been a player to win WS MVP who lead the series in runs scored, but was not also the top RBI guy (and perhaps not the two 2 RBI guy either)?

Had computer problems, couldn't post.  And was distracted during the last several innings, trying to fix them.

Going to rewatch the last 2-3 innings now.

Get ready for a game 7 tomorrow!

Now for the controversy of deciding home team advantage by the all star game...

Rangers will win...because I predicted they would.

Soonerhopeful1 with a MLB post!

Who was that poster?  No Sir; "SH" is not a "out-of-control" crazed, can't get enough sports fan, following all sports all the time. That "MLB" post must have been, from  some imposter.!

Was that a " MLB" comment by the imposter or a " World Series" and or  "television schedule" comment..? And... (SH) He's not really here...!!

I do agree that Carpenter's pitches aren't breaking. His curveball in the last AB in the top of the 2nd, was one of the only ones to break.

But he's also facing a tough Texas lineup, so it's not just because of the short rest by Carpenter.

CJ Wilson has the record for most walks in an postseason.  He has tied with the record with Jerry someone from 1997.

Allen Craig does an "Endy Chavez" and makes a great catch!

Funny how Endy Chavez opposed the Cardinals, with the Mets, in 2006, and is now with Texas.

I was referring to the Endy Chavez catch in the 2006 game 7 for the Mets.

Arthur Rhodes coming in for Carpenter with a runner on in the 7th.  He will face Torrealba of Texas.

Ogando in to pitch for Mike Gonzalez, because Gonzalez seemingly injured himself  a 2-2 count to Allen Craig.  It will be a 3-2 count to Craig when Ogando comes in.
