The Leonard game was more impactful to me not that the Thomas game wasn't great either. Shutting down Houston's main offensive cog while scoring that efficiently on that many attempts while still chipping in elsewhere is a performance that leads to an easy 20 point win.

The Thomas game was way more fun and had many more opportunities for big shots, which he was great at, but it's not like Kawhi can't come through in clutch time. It's boring dominance on both sides vs entertaining awesomeness on one end of the floor.

Don't get me wrong, I would love for my favorite player to have the kind of game Leonard had all day every day because I wouldn't have to sweat the end but its so much more sweeter and harder to do it when the game is on the line and one missed shot or turnover could lose you the game.  When you are up big you can "free shoot" because there is no pressure.  Eveything goes in and  it seems when you are up big and even the role players can shoot with no conscious.  But when that game is on the line with every shot that where the money and glory is made.

Yeah the original thought never questioned Kawhi's ability to come through in the clutch and I also wouldn't say his performance last night was boring dominance either.  It was pretty entertaining and respected as well from an opposing fan.  But there are other superstars I do question....

Leonard didn't guard Harden for that much time.  Sometimes Green, etc.

I myself would take a strong performance in limited minutes if it was happening in a blowout, vs. a close game.

Sometimes the games are close because of bad rebounding / turnovers / bad defense.  In other words, mistakes.

But other times, more rarely, it's because the other team is playing just as well.

On another topic, they went to Jordan's hook shot during the first play of game 4.  That was the last time they did it.  As I've mentioned, after running it more frequently from 2012-2015, they've barely used it after resigning him in 2015.  They don't use him to create his shot like I want.
