Bad post.

Who cares how much money you could win.

You're not telling us the most important thing:  What your team names are in each of your leagues!

I'm making it a mandatory requirement that you share your team names at the start of every season.

Otherwise, kittens will cry.

Good post.  Even though kitten pics, memes, vids, are pentiful on the internet, I still haven't seen that one before.  So it's new.  Glad you picked something I hadn't seen before.

I think you should make a video game themed team name next year.

Or, how about quoting yourself in a team name?  I'm thinking of this famous quote:  "My daughter is Jesus."

Since you brought up that guy on that other team, who makes stupid shoe commercials, here's a team name for him:

"Kobe:  Doin' Work  . . . at lowering his teammates' self esteem."

I thought there was only 6 teams that made it. I really didn't know that you ended my season but the truth be told the season is pretty much over when you pick 14th in an 18 team league,,,especially when you roll the dice with Durant and then Rose as your first two picks...but whatcha gonna do at that point. Not much to choose from. There were too many teams.

I have a matchup with "Heisenberg" in one league.  I'm losing right now.  My players need to make better blue meth.

I need Marcus Morris to get 4 assists, while shooting at least .465.

I also have one more quarter of Rondo.

Otherwise I lose.

I'm a real noob regarding "fantasy leagues" I guess that is a thing in the US. Can you tell me how this works? And especially how you or I can participate in one. Is it like a browsergame or how does it work?

1.  Get people to sign up and form a league.

2.  Schedule a draft (if not doing auto-pick).

3.  At the draft, people take turns picking players they want on their team.  Once a player is taken, no one else can take him.  There are settings as to what roster positions are in league, and how many of each.  For example, a league an have the following positions:  PG, SG, SF, PF, C, Util (short for "utility", any position), Util, and 3 "bench" spots.

4.  After everyone picks their players, wait for the regular season to begin.

5. Everyday that there's a game, you can put those players in one of the non-bench spots.  Whatever stats they get for that game, count.  You have to put your players at the tip-off for their respective game, in the non bench spot.

In the example settings above, there are 7 active spots, and 3 bench spots.  That means that only 7 players who have games in a day, can collect stats.

6.  There are two common formats:  Rotisserie and Head To Head.  In a Rotisserie league, the winner is at the end of the regular season.  One position (PG, SG, etc.) can only be played for a maximum of 82 times.

Points are assigned based on where you rank in the league.  And the stats accumulate.

So rebounds on Day 2 are added to those on Day 1.

You get points based on your ranking.  If you are 1st in rebounds, you get the most points.  Last, you get the least points.  Etc., across all of the stat categories.

The other format is head to head.  Points accumulate for a week (Monday - Sunday).  You go against one specific manager.  Whoever wins the most categories, over that week, "wins" that week.

Near the end of the regular season, there is a bracket, taking the top 6 or 8 managers in that league.  1 will face 8 in a 8 team playoffs league.  2 will face 7.  Etc.  There are 3 rounds, with each round being one week.

The champion is determined from the last two in that bracket.  If you lose during a week in your bracket, you can't play for 1st place.

I play Basketball fantasy every year (and have since...the early 2000s I guess).  I've played Baseball last year, and this upcoming year.  Never played anything outside of those two sports.

I like them, even if I lose miserably, because they keep me informed about some players I would otherwise know nothing about, and teams I would otherwise not pay attention to.  And for baseball, it keeps me interested in the game at all - because without it I'd likely be ignoring baseball.  And as these are the last years of the great Vin Scully, I really WANT to be interested in the Dodgers this year.  And I am, thanks to fantasy baseball.

For Basketball: I am always Mistwell Maulers.

For Baseball: I am Mistwell Orbsmackers.

I think ChrisKamanSideMe, even if multiple people have used it, is still a lot better than those above names, IMO.  Those names are fine, but ChrisKamanSideMe is hall of fame worthy.

Not really.  She knows who the Clippers are and knows it's Daddy's team, but otherwise she prefers to watch her iPad if I am watching a game.
