starting this early again :)

Clips -3 O/U 237

Pelicans have won 8 in a row but we are favored by 3.  We need Austin to have one of his good games.

Man 8 in a row? That's a nice streak.

Let's break it.

I'll be at the game! Woo hoo!

Anthony Davis has really needed to be a pretty much full time center for years now, Cousins getting hurt finally made it happen.

We'd better play 48 minutes and get a good game from our bench guys.  Our starters are overmatched and had better come out to play D the whole game.

It's section 111. Not sure of seat. I vaguely recall it might be row 16? I never remember.

Nice those are great seats.  I only go to a couple games a year now.  I like those baseline seats.  Especially 117 row B or 105 row B

Yeah I am fortunate that my buddy made a boat-load of money selling his company and invites me to games sometimes in his season ticket seats. I buy the parking, beer, and snacks.

They actually signed Okafor for center position and he played well for a few games. He may be hurt now.

Man, New Orleans is on a roll right now and Davis playing out of his mind....I will tell you who I like for them and that is Jrue Holiday...he is smooth and so underrated..I bet he goes off for about 30 tonight.....You guys are really fighting for tooth and nail for a playoff spot and could easily get to 3rd with a little run....Isn't great playing some meaningful basketball at the end of the season even some of you guys wanted to tank for a better pick?  Impressed that you guys are doing this without CP3 and Blake.....Sucks you dont play the warriors anymore to maybe help us out...oh well.....

Yes, Jrue is having his best season yet.  Rondo is playing well, too.  That backcourt is a big step up from ours.

Those two have produced 11.3 Wins, while our starting backcourt has produced 0.9.   Then we have Wes at SF giving us nothing.  DJ and Tobias had better be good.  It looks like our bench had better come up big tonight because that's where we have an advantage.

We not to come out flat like we did vs Houston... In that case we had no Ty and Cj was back, but the team chemistry on the court was horrible until the 2nd quarter..

Mirotic has been playing well for them too.  That was a great trade they made with the Bulls after Cousins went down.  We need to put Kilpatrick in as a starter and bench Teodosic so we can get some defense in there.  It really is bad that they did not find a way to keep Wallace.  He was playing a lot better than Thornwell or Wesley Johnson.  Using those two guys big minutes puts a lot of stress on other players to have above average games to make up for the lack of productivity.  Or maybe Wes will get his game back tonight after disappearing against the Nets.  Maybe he was sick or something the last few games.  Let's hope there is an excuse in there someplace.

This matchup is better for us than the Nets.  I hated that matchup because you have a bunch of young studs on the Nets playing balls out to keep their jobs in the NBA.  And a coach who coaches guys to play flat out and has no incentive to tank.  Luckily we escaped that game.  This game we know what we have to do and should have no problem getting motivated to play hard.  So its let the best team win.  I think it will be us but who knows.  Whoever shoots better from the field probably wins.

Kilpatrick is awful. He shouldn't even be on the roster, let alone starting over Milos (an actually good NBA player). And no, I'm not just basing it on one game - he was awful with the Bucks, too.

The Clippers bench has a very clear advantage.  Hopefully, they can take advantage when Davis or Holiday are off the floor.

What does that mean?  Play Austin more minutes?  The guy you hate.  I figure Kilpatrick has to be able to play some or why did we bother signing him.  Teodosic needs to be on the second string so that his defense does not kill us in the first quarter.  Its rough without Gallinari though because with him injured we don't have enough guys who can create their own shots so we almost need to have a playmaker in there.  So if Kilpatrick can't play the point it will have to be Milos.  Milos is adequate on offense and poor on defense.  So at best he is average.

yeah...just like Tobias, Avery and Boban were the Piston’s garbage. Give him a chance and form an educated opinion. You’ve probably seen him play less than most of us. We’re you even a fan when he single handedly beat and torched us for 38?

Yeah he was pretty good on the Nets actually. It's possible he's actually better than at least CJ and if he gets back to that form might even fit better than Wallace. They're probably going to use a couple 10 days to find out or at least as a negotiating tool.

butt Nuggs losing too by twelve with nine mins left at Dallas, but even with Jokic/Murray tuning-the-meat-whistle and not being able to hit the side of a barn tonight I kinda still doubt they will lose with the DAL tank in gear.

back to back to back turnovers from Dirk and Barea and Collingsworth (Chris?) of course it just got a lot tighter

Update: DAL keeps turning it over on offense and/or fouling to send DEN to the line but they can't make any baskets...even free throws. lol. I guess Nuggs may indeed actually blow it. Cuban must be pissed heh.

Nerlens Noel lost ball turnover (Paul Millsap steals) followed by Will Barton misses 26-foot three point jumper hahaha

Nuggs miss last twelve or thirteen shots, including free throws, to lose. They just aint a road team. 11-20 record on road

does austin rivers ever play well in games against tough(er) opponents that the team really needs to win?

and was boban's reward for that great game basically that he wouldn't get to play again?

This game seals it. No playoffs unless Ty Wallace gets signed ASAP. Even then, it might be too late. We finally got help from other teams for once and we're wasting it bigtime.

17 - 4 run.

102-99.

It's still confusing to me to watch a game and not see the home team wearing whites.

It's confusing watching the Pelicans wear red, because that's a Clippers color.  And even though the Clippers are wearing blue, it's a light blue, not the dark blue that I'm used to.

Great game but their run without Davis at the end of the half was the difference. When the hell is Gallo coming back? Now that we don't have Ty we desperately need him. Johnson gives us nothing.
