Lakers need the game more, and it's their home game. They're also on a pretty good win streak. And we're on a back to back while they are not. I think we will win, but I suspect this will be a tougher game than some are expecting, and I do not think 3.0 is too little.

look at misswell defending the lakers again. gotta hand it to you. you are consistent. fakers will make the playoffs cause they are a good team and bledsoe is better than george. LOL. Wrong on both counts.
I hope so, but I doubt it will be a blow out. We're on what, game 4 in 5 days, with their crowd, and they need it more than we do and are on a hot streak themselves? I doubt it will be a blow out, but I would love it if it happens!

Scheduling, back-to-backs are a little overstated IMO. Fans only focus on it if the game is closer than they'd normally expect, or if it's bad play, or if it's a loss.
Indiana blew out all 3 teams on their 3 games in 3 nights last week. Yet if one of them would have been an ugly game, I'm sure you would have seen comments about the schedule.
The Spurs have usually done well on their rodeo road trip, something that has often had back to backs. They've never had a losing record on their rodeo road trip. (That started once they moved into the SBC center, in 2002-2003).
Here's 3 games in 4 nights, and the Spurs blew out the Bulls without their starters:
The Lakers may have won 8 of the last 11, but they haven't beaten anyone that was good. They almost lost to Detroit, Charlotte, and Phoenix again at home! They didn't blow anyone out. They don't have Gasol.
We have our entire team healthy right now. We have won 3 straight games by double digits. Back to backs aren't a problem for us. We have been able to stop the 3 ball in the last few games.
They may be a little luke warm right now, but we are a purple hot O star with our complete team ready to go. I think we will score another double digit win. Don't look too much into how we lost a little steam after the 1st quarter of the Houston game. We were taking it easy since we knew after a 46 pt 1st quarter the game was another W.

I am aware that the Lakers have been playing better.
But we have just playing at such a high level. Blake has turned it on as of late. Crawford is having a hot streak. And Billups isn't rusty.
Man, I would love to see the Clippers blow the Lakers out by at 20+ points and start hearing booing from the crowd. I doubt it happens though. Lakers are playing well and they can beat us 2night.
i celebrated Valentine's day yesterday so my full attention could be given to this game.
Is that allowed?
"Can we celebrate V-Day a day early, because there's a big game tomorrow"?
I did read on another board that someone's parents started celebrating it a day early.
haha. the lady allowed it.
i worked some absolute magic and convinced her that it was more "special" to celebrate the day before as it would be more unique. didnt hurt that the restaurant was not busy either. she did comment that next year we are not flipping back to celebrating on the 14th if the clips play the lakes on the 13th...
Oh man if you guys don't normally listen to 710, today is the day.
Yeah man, what a blast. I listened for 2 hours while driving and it was great. From all the "Kobe gets fouled 8-10 times per game that don't get called but Lebron gets those calls, to the mock "are the Clippers for real?" questions and answers. That was hilarious. It's taken half a season but those guys are finally truly admitting that the Clippers are the better team. But the Lakers will win tonight, of course, and they'll get to the 2nd round of the playoffs. Which was funny too, I LOLd, because IF they get into the playoffs they'll be playing OKC or SA in the first round.
Gasol should just get surgery on his foot so his foot could be 100% come training camp. The Lakers should just throw in the towel concerning Gasol's season. Even with Gasol back for The Playoffs, The Lakers would be lucky to win 1 game vs. San Antonio or OKC.
I don't care if we win by one point or by 20. I just want to win. Lakers will treat this like a playoff game. We will treat it like it was an important inter-division game that we have to win if we want to be as good team. Reserves were just awful yesterday especially Bledsoe and Odom. Hope they bounce back tonight. People will stop cheering for the Lakers if they fall behind. Laker fans are fair weather fans who will desert their team in a heartbeat if the going gets tough.

What I find hilarious, is that they've actually stopped talked about the biggest game in the season for the Lakers to talk baseball. It's like they've already wrote off the Lakers.
Rhy1244, have you gotten the baseball invite? I sent it a few days ago.
I haven't checked that email in a while. I'll check.
Thanks.
Do you agree with my yearly fan fest rant? That's it's stupid to have it so much before the regular season starts, even before pitchers and catchers report? That they should have it about a week before the regular season? (All teams have their fan fest before spring training).
The A's fan fest is even worse. They have it in January the past two years, 9 weeks before the season!
Here's Brandon McCarthy signing JJ Putz legs, because the Diamondbacks didn't make a card for him.

LAC -3.0
Man, being favored against the Lakers is pretty nice. I wonder if 3 points is too little though.
...I hope we roflstomp them.

Chris Paul went for 30pts, 13 asts, 6 rebs, 2 stls, against the lakes last time.
Chris Paul went for 18pts, 15 asts, 8 rebs, 3 stls, against the lakes the game before.
What will he do tonight? Split the difference and go 24 pts, 14ast, 7rebs, 2 stls? That smells like.... Victory!

Don't worry, if it were a playoffs game, they would start it on TBS, then switch back to TNT.
It was only 2-3 minutes anyways.
(BTW, I know I have to update the Wire To Wire thread. I might have to make a lot of updates if this game holds up).

Chauncey isn't playing as well last year. But he does contribute on offense.
I thought last year, his all-around game, especially defense were more prominent.
