If any of the sixers start to act up, put Grant Hill on him.
It will be interesting to see how the Clips adjust on offense to the sixxer's strong defense. There's no way I can see us scoring only 76 points against them like the last four teams did. Indiana and Orlando combined for 130 points in Philly. With all our depth now, Vinnie has to be able to find a combination of players that will score against them. Right?
This is a trap game. Unfortunately for the Sixers they are the ones who are going to get trapped. We opened at 4 point favorites and now we are at 4.5. They are not holding us to 76 with Paul healthy and Hawes playing center. They may be the ones who only score 76 while we are closer to 96. I think we will go all out to win this game so that we can go home with a 4 and 4 road trip. Prediction: Clippers by at least 10.
I see that, are they out for the game or just limited minutes..? I guess for the whole game. A Start for Barnes, and return to lineup for Green. With Hill off bench we should be okay.
He spends enough effort boxing out his guy, getting position to rebound. He jumps at the right time. But still comes up empty come rebound time.
Offensively, he does the fundamentally sound thing and makes himself big in the post. He sets screens. He stands where even an offensively limited player must be guarded.
Why is this guy so bad? He is a smart enough player. His ft% makes me think he is coordinated enough. He isn't lazy. He is 7' tall...
Personally.... I would have started Grant Hill, and not taken Barnes off the reserves, but just add to Barnes minutes.. Trying to keep chemistry from changing....Reserves look like they are struggling...!

Geesh......stop ragging on Hollins. He's been pretty darn good over the past few games and it's no coincidence that the bench suddenly looks better with his energy on the court.. He's been rebounding well, gaining extra posessions with tips, blocking shots and scoring when needed. What do you want...he's more than servicable.

Actually, I like Hollins.
I'm wondering why his stats don't reflect all the things he does right.

Wow... another dominating preformance with two players missing!!
I wasn't able to watch the game cause I was at work, but I caught the first 1.5 quarters on the radio. It was nice to see the offense function well in the 1st quarter. When the bench came in we started to lose tallys off our lead, but once Chris Paul came in it was lights out. My Dad changed the radio cause he is a angry Lakers fan so I didn't get to hear the rest.
JAMAL CRAWFORD SHOT 8/10 OMG!!
I missed all the awesome dunks, so I need to youtube them when I get a chance.
Look at how Ryan Hollins is gaining minutes. In 20 minutes today, Ryan Hollins got 0 Fouls
Listened to this game on the radio. Brian Sieman was pretty good tonight, calling some of those dunks with real enthusiasm. Sounded like we were crushing them for most of the game. And our bench was back in the "gaining on the lead" mode.
Oh me, Oh my! Nice Win. We need to focus more on The Lakers than The Rockets. We play The Rockets on Wed, and The Lakers on Thurs. I would limit Paul and Griffins minutes on Wed, so we can unload everything during the second game of the back to back. Give Billups minutes vs Houston, and limit his minutes vs The Lakers too. It's gonna take Billups a handful of games to get used to playing with his teammates.
I've seen Philly play 5-6 times this year, and every time, Holiday leaves me wanting more. I also think back to the playoffs last year, and again, I just thought he was ok, not one of the 24 best players in the league.
Holiday, Teague, and Lawson usually leave me wanting more. I think they're good, but not great. I think Conley Jr. is better than them.
I don't know how Holiday got his assists today, I think he got fake assists. He didn't impact the game. Even in blowouts, sometimes I can still feel the PG trying his best to make a dent, but other than some fastbreak 3's in garbage time, it didn't feel like he did anything.

I think he's fine for a 3rd stringer. Better than dorks like Mikki Moore, who were 2nd stringers in their career.

Yeah, I like Sieman.
I remember listening to the Jazz-Clippers double OT game with Gordon making a shot to send it to OT. He had called a good game. I just stayed in my car, from the last few minutes of OT, until the end of 2OT.

I've been thinking that one of these games where Lawler and Smith are not calling the game on TV, I should just put it on mute, turn on the radio, and listen to Sieman announce the game.

this is going to be a real tough game for us. We went all out yesterday on National TV, and I could see throwing a clunker but surviving 82-80 or so.
