I am not looking forward to seeing Green/Crawford try to guard Harden.

We schould put Grant Hill and Barnes on Harden most of the time. Best thing about having Hill back is his perimeter D. Defense on the 2nd unit is sick when Hill, Barnes and Odom are on the floor together. They can all switch off of picks. Add Bledsoe and Griffin to that mix and the versatility gets even better. This gave Memphis real problems last night. We could see a lot of this tonight as Houston doesnt really have any post offense or scoring big men.

Houston like to throw a lot of three point shots up and get into a running and shooting match with you.  We can beat them at that game.  Let Harden get his points.  Just don't let Parsons or Lin get anything.  Jordan should be able to shut down Asik.  I don't really think the Rockets are a very good team and we should be able to expose that tonight even without Paul.  Clippers by 10.

Isn't that how we normally lose?  A team that is worse than us just hits their 3's...

Wanna bet 100 pushups or shots?

I'd take Rockets +10?   Just for the record, I think I've lost every bet this season.

The beauty of making predictions like Clippers by 10 on this board is that it never costs you anything if you are wrong.  I would take the 10 too if I actually had any money on this thing.  Road games usually are not that big of a margin if the visitor wins.  I just think we are the type of team that can handle that run and gun style of the rockets and really slow down their offense.  I like our chances in this game even better than I liked our chances last night.  I think the Rockets are not really playoff material.  If the Lakers make it I expect this Rockets team to be the one that gives them that opening.

Houston isn't a great 3 point shooting team. They are 16th, just ahead of us, as we rank 17th.

They do like to push the pace, the are #1 in that category...............but I'm not sure if that will work against us. Our team likes to get out and run, especially on the 2nd unit, especially with Bledsoe starting. Players like Crawford, Bledsoe, Barnes, Griffin, DJ and Odom all thrive in an up-tempo game, even Grant Hill likes to run.

But on the other hand, it is ALWAYS difficult to win on the 2nd night of a road back to back, even though last night was a blow-out. This game is a toss-up for me, I wouldn't be suprised either way.

Jeremy Lin should have 5 TOs tonight. Bledsoe will pester him. We got to watch out for Parsons, and Delfino from the outside. Harden will get his points though. If they shoot under 30% from 3-point range, we should win comfortably. We are -3.0 Favorites, and I am sure we the Over will be over 206.0 points!  I say Clippers 114- Houston 104.

They aren't good in %, but are second in attempts (behind the knicks).

I agree, this game is a toss up.

It should be a real entertaining game regardless of what happens.  I saw some real nice play between Odom and Hill last night that was really some high IQ basketball.  Getting layups against a swarming Grizzlies defense.  I wonder if we can shred the Rocket defense like that.  Our defense was not the only thing clicking last night.  Offense was outstanding by having the two point forwards in the game at the same time.  With Crawford not having to do all the playmaking it makes those reserves deadly.  This team is really motivated to win without Paul playing.  I don't expect the back to back to have any effect on our energy tonight.

Last game I watched of the Rockets, they really didn't impress me.  They looked exactly like what they are: a low-ranking playoff team that will get dumped out in the first round.

This could be a legitimate first round match up for us. Whether it's 1/8 or 2/7, we could realistically be seeing the Rockets first round, if the playoffs started today, we would (2/7). So I'm excited to see this game, I'm excited to see the game plan against Lin and Harden.

Lin might be out for tonight with a sprained ankle, but I'm still excited to see what the rockets do or try. I still think we win tonight, we should, road or not.

I don't think Clippers1121 understood the parameters of the bet, or what the bet was.  Let me try rephrasing.

Clippers1121, if the Clippers win by 9.5 points ore more, then how about Rhy1244 does 100 pushups or 1-2 shots of liquor?

Rhy1244, if the Clippers win by less than 9.5 points, or lose the game, how about Clippers1121 does 100 pushups or 1-2 shots of liquor?

Loser will post when he starts his "punishment" (pushups or shots), and when he has completed them.

On an unrelated note:  These ANA Japan Commercials are just weird and conspiciously don't use Asian people.

Haggle/No Haggle question

Will Harden be an All-Star?

Ralph haggles, and Mike does not.  Ralph reasons that Lin will pass Paul.

Odom jumps straight up, and somehow gets called for a foul.

I think that is Stern's way of punishing Odom for breaking the drug policy.  Calls are just weighted against him.

Clips having some block out fails.
