We have the best road team going up against the best home team.

DEN favored by 1. O/U 207.

DEN averages 107 pts at home, LAC averages 100 pts on the road

DEN defense averages 97 pts at home, LAC defense averages 94 on the road.

Split the difference, and DEN wins 100-99.

In this game, Lawler's Law will hold.

I'll say the streak continues for one more game, but it will be in serious jeopardy tomorrow, especially if the starters have to play heavy minutes tonight.

Bledsoe is due for a good game...

Why is Lamar Odom listed as Day-to-Day on the injury report? Is it related to the sprained ankle from last game? He got to finish the game. Hopefully he plays tonight. We need him to play more minutes than Turiaf and Hollins. Wilson Chandler was listed as OUT on December 28th, so I am thinking Chandler won't be playing tonight. Not that he is a difference maker this season. He has been insignificant so far this season. I am keeping my fingers crossed for one more victory tonight! I predict- Clippers 104 and Denver 99.

The Nuggz stopped the Bulls 18-game win streak in '96. They believe that they will once again be the streakenders tonight.

Chandler is targeting Jan 13 for his return.

Um.... Sorry to be the homer here, but we beat them by 12 points last time we played them....

Why shouldn't this one be another beat down?

I mean... It's just another game, right?

Unfortunatly for Clippers, the longer the winning streak, the more pressure is on the Clippers team to win, and also the bigger the Target gets on their backs..  Winning on the road consistently, is almost impossible..  !Cool

We are usually a bad matchup for Denver. They can't use their depth against us, they can't run us off the court and we are just as or more athletic than they are. They are also a poor shooting team from 3, which is usually our most vulnerable area defensively. I wouldnt mind facing Denver in the first round of the playoffs. I would rather go against them than Utah.

I am more worried about tomorrow's game against a good shooting team on the second night of a road back to back. That seems like a recipe for a loss.

That does make sense.  And I think the second game is also against a better team..  Who does match up well against us, and with Curry shooting 3's, they are very dangerous.

I wouldn't write Denver off for poor three point shooting when they have had so many road games so far.

DEN shoots .362 from three at home. LAC shoot .323 on the road.

Just run Gallinari off the 3 point line and we should be ok. Nobody else scares me.

I might be bias and overly optimistic, but I think we can beat them both...!  We have to bring our defensive intensity and pressure, causing turnovers resulting in fast break points...  When we do this, we are a championship caliber team, who can beat any one any time...!   But we do have let downs at times.  3 more wins in a row, and I will be very pleased. Smile

for some reason Andre Miller, aweful 3 point shooter, hits threes when he plays us.  but we will still win.

Both teams shoot well according to TS%.

http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/teamstats/_/sort/trueShootingPct

If you're talking about 3-point shooting, Denver's points in the paint is more dangerous than Golden State's 3-point shooting.

Denver is # 1 in points in the paint, averaging 8.2 more points than 2nd place.

http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/points-in-paint-per-game

Curry is not Golden State's biggest threat.  Golden State's defense and rebounding are the biggest threats.  They are # 3 in rebounding.

The biggest advantage for both Golden State and Denver is that they can rebound.

Utah rebounded well the other day too.

Clippers are getting better at rebounding, but not like those teams.

Add to it that Denver leads the league in points in the paint.

Clippers should be better than Denver's guards though.

But I could see Denver or Golden State outrebounding the Clippers by 17, leading to a loss.

Because different players will be in foul trouble, and will shoot better or worse.

Clippers won 2 in a row at Denver ( 6 points, 4 points), but prior to that, lost 9 in a row.

Yes, but the question was whether it would be by 12?

I thought that's what DoubleTechnical was getting at.  That it would be easy again.

Its because former Clipper Andre Miller  hates this team with the passion of a thousand suns.

The hatred flows through his veins and manifests itself as an open 3 ball.

I like Andre Miller's game.  Reminds of of Cassell's, both good in the midrange with lots of moves.

Andre Miller is a better PG, anyway. But who backs up Dre?

I guess it's Fournier. He should be plenty bad.

Yeah.  I am not impressed with Lawson.  He has some decent stats, but when I watch him, I barely know he's there.  And he doesn't have the leadership or defense that Miller has.

Miller could play 40mpg.

He's only missed 4 games in his career, 3 due to injury, one due to suspension.

Let him, good luck keeping up with CP and Bledsoe for 40 minutes at his age, even with the altitude.

I never understood all the hype on Chris Paul when he played for the Hornets.  I also thought DWilliams was a better player too.

I was wrong.  Way wrong.  That assist to end the half is proof positive that he's the best PG in the league.  On top of that, he is a great leader of men, and seems like a wonderful person.  We're lucky to have him, and I hope he decides to stay.

with such a bad half, we're only down by 5, that's a testament to something.  Im not sure, but I believe!

Well this is not going well.

How about this - everyone's job on offense is to either get to the paint and take a shot, or help someone else get to the paint and take a shot.

Yes.  I respect Denver, and a comeback against them would mean a lot.

Could use Mr. Big Shot right now.  Though really, we need steals from Paul, Bledsoe, and Barnes, PLUS a hot hand.  That's...unlikely.

If we are going to lose, this is a good way to lose.  Tmade are making us change things up.  playing against this kind of defense is what we need to get better.

We lost because we couldn't make 3s and FTs.  Do slightly better on either of those facets and we probably win.  Oh well, it was a great streak while it lasted.  Time to start another one.
