A near "must win" game. Why? I believe that home court advantage will determine the winner in the Clips/Griz series. We don't want to have to be forced to win against the heated-up Knicks on the 2nd night of a road back to back. WeThe Grizz are at home for their one remaining game against the Magic without DH.
Hopefully Caron is Hip To Clip tonight.
And even I will admit that we can use Nick Young tonight for his wing size. Hopefully his flu was short, and that they hooked him up to an IV and kept him pumped full of hydrating fluids and nutrients. It works. I tried it this weekend.
I believe that this chart will flip if we lose home court to the Grizzlies. The most likely outcome today is that the Clips win in 7 games due to home court advantage.

Plus, although highly unlikely, we still have a shot at the 3rd seed. If we win both of these games and the Lakers lose on Thursday to the Kings. If we win both games, the exact playoff scenarios won't be able to be determined until Thursday night after completion of the Laker game. Go Clips!!!
If we win tonight.. Do we rest Griffin and Paul? Or put the pressure on the Lakers to win.. Last game of the season for Sacramento.. at home.. Those people hate the Lakers.. They could make it interesting.
I'll be at MSG, so hopefully we go for the win, and make the Lakers go for it Thursday night.

Keep the foot on the gas. They will have a few days off anyway before the playoffs to rest. Plus Kobe's going for the scoring title so he could have an off night and shoot 11-34 or something.
Chandler is back for NY against the Clips. Have a feeling they'll be coming full boar trying to get their core guys and starters in sync. Unless they are tanking for Chicago.
I am not sure I want third anymore. Denver or Dallas may be tougher for us than Memphis. Don't like that uptempo game that the Nuggets play and I don't like having to guard Dirk and Terry for the Mavs. I kind of prefer the Gasol, Randolph, Gay matchups that the Grizzlies present. If we are the road team against Memphis I think we could beat them on their homecourt. But we will probably beat the Hawks and make it so that won't be necessary.
Jordan and Butler better show up tonight. DJ did the next best thing to nothing against the Hornets on Sunday even though he had a pretty big size advantage against them. Disappointing in that we are in late April and he is still having no impact on some of these games. Hawks are weak at center. Let's see if DJ can do some damage. He needs a skyhook or something on offense. His dunks are easily stopped by the defense. Just get a guy to stand in front of him so that he can't get to the basket. Even smaller players can easily guard him because all he can make are dunk shots.
i was thinking.. in the off season.. Maybe DJ should learn a face up game.. learn how to shoot 10-15 footers.. I think that might end up being better for him and the team.. He looks pretty bad in the post.
Clippers even though down 2 at half; just seems like they are toying with Hawks, and can turn on the defense and speed away any time they want...! Which is what they've done in the past..
Clippers seem like a thorough bred horse, where you can open up, give free head reigns, and just speed away....Go Clippers.

This is today’s e-mail from “The Picker:”
“Tonight I like Clippers ML (money line), numerous players have said it’s a must win. I’ll take their word for it!

ATL's home defense is averaging 94 points
LAC's away offense is averaging 96 points.
Sooooooo.....we'll win by 2

I don't think Butler or Young will play. Well Young wasn't feeling well yesterday.

Butler starting.

Blake draws first blood from the right post.
Do that often

Why we miss so many layups lately?

Whoah, that's some of the worse standing around defense I've seen all season. Vinnie calls em off the floor for that crap. 8-2 Hawks.

Please go back to Blake on the right block after the timeout. That shit works.
Vinnie threatens his starters that he's going to sub for them if they don't step it up.
What do we get? 2 more missed jump shots.

MWP is out 7 games..... Clippers are starting slow at Atlanta...!

Blake on the right block scores again.

Butler off to a horrible start. He caps it off by making a lazy foul on the dunking Smith.
He's the guy I'd sit first.

Blake 8, our jump shooters 0.

We could use just a leeeeeetle bit more defensive effort so Blake's offensive performance isn't wasted.
Tied at 21.

Blake Griffin seems to have the " Samson " complex.. Give him a few whiskers and he's a out side shooting fool....! Long live the whiskers..!

Mo looks like he's brought some energy.

Not bad, up by 5 after one quarter with only moderate effort. 5-pt margin brought to you by Mo.

Have I ever mentioned that Nick Young sucks?
Williams just dribbles around him like he's standing still. Which he was. Breaks down the whole defense.

Have I mentioned that Nick Young sucks?
Williams makes an easy steal from Nick. ATL scores on the fast break and two Clippers are injured.
Thanks Nick. Sit down.
We want Gomes.

Have ever said that Nick Young sucks?
Nick Young tries a power slam and gets snuffed. ATL scores on the resulting break.

Only when he is not playing well,,,,!

Next play: Nick Young lost on who to defend, Williams walks in behind his back and receives the pass for a layup.
That's at least 8 points that Nick has lost in 4 possessions. He sucks.
ATL up by 4 now. 9 point turnaround
ATL up by 6 now. Time to make a personell change.

I'm tellin ya, I'm itchin' for Gomes after watching Nick Young have a -11 performance.

When we get the ATL shooting jumpshots we win.

We need to get something from Foye or Butler tonight. So far, nothing. They are open at times.
Can't believe Blake is whining about that obvious foul. Whiner.
Urrgh. TO by Butler. He's off.

A perfect 22 point half by Blake Griffin.
Too bad it was wasted. Clips down by 2 at halftime.

So. Who's going to get some rebounds in the 2nd half? DJ? Blake? KMart? Hello?

OKC down by 13 at home in the 2nd to the queens, even though Durant has 16.

I know I will, but I don't want. I'd rather see Gomes. I hope VDN has a fast hook before Nick gives us another -11.
