I don't expect any game to be easy anymore.

Most games won't be, but the Bulls are in the great tank off. They have just been told by the NBA to try harder because their tanking was so blatant. They may play some vets a few extra minutes now, but ultimately this team wants to lose. We can't lose a game like this and make it, not with the schedule we have coming at us.

We should win this. But really, we need to win 2 of the next 3. That means this game and either OKC or Rockets. If by some miricle we instead beat both OKC and Rockets while losing to the pathetic Bulls, so be it. Win 2 of the next 3 three. That's our immediate job.

Maybe we'll get some help tonight...

Go Wizz, beat the Wolves!
Go Lakers, beat the Nuggz!
Go Blake Griffin and Pistons, beat the Jazz! (OK, that’s a stretch)

@Dyce, you liked Finnish player Koponen before the draft.

Did you also like Finnish player Markkannen?

(He's out tonight with back spams.)

Laurie Markannan - what a rookie talent.  The dude can shoot.  The way the Bulls have been tanking is to bench Robin Lopez most of the game.  I hope they do that tonight.  They like to bench their veterans to make damn sure they don't win.  Yes this is a must win game as is any game against a team with a losing record and that is trying to tank.  We may get some help from the Lakers tonight.  But don't expect anything from the Pistons or the Hawks or the Magic.

What are your keys to the game, other than to bench the Bulls veterans?

Clippers need to play hard and bring some energy to the game.  Jordan has to control the boards.  Lou has to hit his shots.  Pretty much the same keys to winning every game.

Clips 31-27 at the end of 1

Looks like about 70% effort. Too many LAC turnovers and uncontested buckets.

Clips 62-60 at the half.   DJ and Tobias having really good games.   The bench didn't do so well, looking outrun by the young Bulls. Portis and Payne played great for them.

The Bulls came to play.

More defense in the 2nd half and we should take them.

Juwan Evans with the sweet three.  Thornwell was playing solid defense earlier. Amazing that we get some talent out of the second round like that, after so many years of duds.

That game was a travesty to the NBA.  Robin Lopez had a great first quarter so naturally they bench him for the rest of the game.  First team that has a legitimate shot at making hack-a-DJ work with four minutes left in the game when he badly misses two free throws and they immediately abandon the strategy.  Bulls were doing everything in their power to keep the game close but not close enough to actually win the game.  This game it looked like the fix was in from the first quarter on.  No matter how badly the Clippers played the Bulls made sure they just played well enough to keep the game close.  Other than DJ and Lou we were pretty bad.  Next three games are likely all going to be losses.  Hopefully, our bench gets its mojo back so we can get an upset somewhere in there and stay alive in the playoff race.

I'm saying it right now:

Tobias Harris is a better player than Blake Griffin (and for half the price).

It's hard not to be better than Blake.  There is only 1 PF in the NBA with a worse adjFG% than him and that is the terrible Carmelo Anthony.

Add to that that Blake is a top-10 forward in usage rate and he's a degradation.

Austin Rivers had more rebounds than him last night with three.  Problem with Blake is that he is downright embarassing when he faces players like Gobert who don't let him get layups in the paint.  Pistons got killed yesterday and he is one of the main reasons why.  Pistons fans have to be fuming over the trade.  Not only did they get a "superstar" that is not producing but they lost a good lottery pick in the draft for their troubles.

And they lost Marjanovic.

It sucked seeing Blake get traded but deep down I think we all knew it potientially had serious upside for us. Didn't know the gap would be this huge tho

The rebounding isn't new.

I pointed out a few years ago that his rebounding numbers were low.  And that the Clippers weren't good at rebounding either, so that there were rebounds to be had.

I didn't buy the excuse that he was playing with Jordan, because as a team, the Clippers weren't rebounding well, so there were available rebounds to be had.

...........and Harris (who is the best player in the trade), and Bradley.

Trade of the year by the Clippers front office.

In all fairness, Blake wasn't generally nearly as bad here in LA, he seems to have gone from bad to worse to downright attrocious since the trade.

Yeah.  When I see his lack of mobility now, I wonder if he doesn't have sore knees or something.

I think it’s more about his desire and effort. He was on national tv a few nights back against Toronto and played great.

Maybe he has a sprained ambition.  Sometimes that comes with being where you don't want to be. Sometimes that comes after receiving a truckload of money. Sometimes it comes from a sore body. Maybe it comes from all three.

And I am betting this is personal issues that will get sorted out eventually.

This isn't the first time he's had personal issues and his game went to shit.

Self inflicted personal issues though.
