Al Farouq Aminu, Blake Griffin show up at Clippers Facility

On the first day players were able to visit their team’s practice facility to work out, now that the NBA lockout is over, three players showed up at the Clippers’ site Thursday in Playa Vista.

Griffin, like Brian Cook and Al-Farouq Aminu, who also showed up to workout, didn’t have to speak with the media because it wasn’t mandatory.

Did I read that correctly?

"didn’t have to speak with the media because it wasn’t mandatory."

???  Brian Cook gave a return flagrant foul to Portland Trail Blazer Joel Przybilla.  He was the enforcer on the team last year when Griffin faced rough play.  Why would I not care about that guy?  Kaman, Jordan, and Gomes aren't as intimidating.
